While choosing colors for your wedding, one of the most important aspects to be aware of is the season in which you plan to tie the knot. Each season has distinct feelings, emotions, and color associated with it.
Spring
Soft rain, budding blossoms, and beautiful bright flowers are all signs to us that spring has finally arrived! Whiskey, buffalo, agave, mojito, chipotle, and chili red may sound like a fabulous meal idea, but these are actually some great fall color choices. Fall is the season of festivity. Your wedding is joining the ranks of some of the greats: Halloween and Thanksgiving. Not only are your guests going to fall in love with your amazing chocolate fountain, but also with your color scheme. Fall is meant to make people feel warm and comfortable. Use your neutral tones like grey and brown to really make your other colors pop. Use some dark reds, burnt oranges, warm greens and blues to really set a fall tone. With great choices, your wedding can be a cornucopia of colors.
Winter
Winter weddings can be difficult to decide color schemes. The colors that typify a winter are usually the white of snow and the black of people folded over in coats against the wind. While these colors would probably not be the ideal for many wedding parties, they are sometimes preferred to the typical holiday colors of red and green. This is the season when you can let your creative-self run free. Experiment with gold, silver, white, greens, and browns. Navy blue also accents wonderfully with all those colors.

A popular color scheme that is flexible includes a navy blue, warm olive, and slate palate. If you decide to take a bold step and include patterns and textures into your wedding, be conservative. Incorporating chevrons into your design will give your plans a bit of flair. Also adding polka dots, hounds tooth, velvet, and lace at the same time may become too much to handle visually.
